I tried having it pause after each wave pass and it appears to be all around worse.

I had to modify the Benchy to allow it to be compatible with wave overhang and remove all floating overhangs. It didn't do the best on the thin short overhangs while the large overhang it did rather well. I am still working on optimizing the print.
